Jordan discovered her love of dance at the age of four. She began her training in ballet, and later expanded to contemporary, modern, acrobatics, jazz, and hip hop. During her training, Jordan successfully completed nine Cecchetti Ballet examinations, and also earned various awards and distinctions from dance competitions around the province.
Upon graduating high school, Jordan was accepted into the Certificate Program at The Ailey School in New York City, where she trained professionally for three years. She was privileged to work with renowned master teachers and choreographers, and vastly expanded her knowledge of dance techniques and choreography. Jordan was also a member of The Ailey Student Performance Group (ASPG), performing Alvin Ailey repertory, as well as new choreography, throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. She graduated from The Ailey School with honours in May, 2020.
Jordan has taught at various studios throughout the GTA, and has created choreography for students of all ages. She has her Module One Certification with Acrobatic Arts, and continues to stay current with her knowledge of dance by attending workshops, furthering her training, and performing in shows and projects throughout Toronto. Jordan is incredibly passionate about working with children. She is excited to pass on her knowledge and passion for dance to her students at Somerville Dance Academy!
